| Prior to moving to Dunoon, we both have had extensive work experience in privately owned and major international hotel chains, but it was always our intention to purchase and personally run our own small country house hotel. Fate lent a hand in 1996 when, after two years of searching, we booked to stay at Abbots Brae in order to view a couple hotels for sale in Argyll. The day before our stay, one of the selling agents telephoned to inform us that a new property was on the market - it was Abbots Brae. It was just what we were looking for and we snapped it up! |

| Our aim is to offer a comfortable high quality hotel with a warm relaxing home-from-home atmosphere whilst offering excellent service and we were truly delighted when in only our third season, we were awarded by the Area Tourist Board Best Hotel 1999 as a result of guest recommendations sent to them throughout the year. |
