From the South, exit the M74 at junction 4. Follow signs for Glasgow centre (M8). Continue on M8 to Greenock and follow signs to Gourock (27 miles from Glasgow).

Take the Western Ferry Service (three per hour) at McInroys point just 2 miles south of Gourock for 20 minute crossing to Dunoon. Alternatively take a more leisurely and scenic drive via the Erskine Bridge and Loch Lomond National Park to approach Dunoon by road (70 miles from Glasgow).
